Description:

I\\\'m trying to get a nice background for Nautilus instead of the normal clear white.
My goal would be as in the third shot ,which says \\\"preview\\\" on it, but Nautilus seems to have problem with images larger than 400x400 pixels.
Anyway, for now I have this a small 400x400 image which I made before which I thought to share. More to come...

To \\\"install\\\" an image as a background:
*Type \\\"sudo nautilus\\\" in the terminal.
*Browse to \\\"/usr/share/nautilus/patterns\\\"
*Copy paste the image of choice to this directory
*In an normal window enter edit>Background and Emblems and just drag the image to the window!

The skin I use is an early version of on of the Kin versions.

 by fredvs79 on: Oct 22 2008

Can you tell me what icon theme that is, and also maybe where I could pick it up?
It looks great.

Also, what is the CPU / Disk usage monitor you have running on the desktop?

 by maiden2 on: Oct 22 2008

...I got some problem using it: sometimes, when I open nautilus (the first time it happens was when I open it in full screen mode) it compare a black big stripe over the logo background.

now it is disappeared...until next time??

I'll keep you up to date...

Anyway it give nautilus a very good looking feeling. I clap my hands
