Description:

we all know the great Mashup icon theme. we all use it and all love it.
but for me there are some icons that really bugs me.
so I assembled the great icons in Mashup with icons from other great themes [relax all GPLed :) ].

To update to the Latest version:

1- Download the latest tar file.
2- open it [just by double clicking].
3- click on "Extract".
4- write this in the upper field "~/.icons" (without brackets of course!)

Changelog:

fixed broken links !!
files are hosted on zShare hope they keep their promise of Unlimited downloads. not like MediaFire !!

1.9:
added icons for Google chrome, and Chromium.
updated Gnome-do icon.
deleted extra folders icons that doesn't work.

1.8:
fixed all Symbolic links. FINALLY :)

1.7x:
fixed the download links problem.
and BTW, Dropbox sucks !!

1.7:
-fixed firefox icon size. which made some problems with some applications.
-added an IBM Lotus Symphony icon, even though Symphony may not use it, and you have to configure it manually.
-changed Gnome-do and Songbird icons.
**changes applied to all 3 themes.**

1.6:
made a version with blue folders, and another with red ones.

1.5:
Fixed linked icons problems..

 OOo missing icon

by gnomonkey on: Sep 14 2009

The Formula icon for OOo is missing, either that or I just can't find it. Downloaded the black set, so I don't know if that's the case with all of them.

You found one, LOL. I use Math fairly frequently. That, Calc and Impress are the apps I use most often. You never who's going to download your work. ;)

No, I noticed after installing that I went into the Office tab and Math/Formula still had the old icon, and that got me poking through the folder looking for it. Thanks!

Well, in a lot of set's it seems to be green, but that is taken by Calc in this set. It doesn't real look like there's another color available (I was gonna say purple, but that's taken by Web, which I didn't think anyone used either, lol) so maybe yellow? Doesn't really matter that much, just as long as the icon style matches the others. Thank you!!

OK, check this one:
http://maxo64.200u.com/ooo-math.png
and the mimetype:
http://maxo64.200u.com/x-office-math.png
when it go more Yellow, it becomes fuzzy in Gimp. so this is the "Yellowest" it can gets :)

That'll work fine. Like I said, my main concern was just that the icon styles all matched. Thank you very, very much! :D

you're welcome :)
btw, to install copy the "ooo-math.png" to your (~/.icons/MaXo-ReMix/apps)
and the other one to (~/.icons/MaXo-ReMix/mimetypes) and it'll work.
and will include it in the next release too :)

 Instead of...

by TheWiseDj on: Oct 31 2009

Instead of making 3 or more different folder sets make a gray-scale one and use imagemagick to colorize them and to add emblems to folders, so instead of 30 icons you have to use only closed and open folder.

but could an "Icons theme" pack do that automatically?

Such as you can choose by script the folder color to use in a pre-made iconset, you can use a script to colorize them, look at my project, Hydroxygen Light Plus, it's a new way of thinking an iconset.

WOW, just saw your Hydrogen theme !
that's really an innovative and great idea, totally loved it.
but I think it's easier for newbie users to just click on their desired color and just download and use without extra settings.
but since i'm a Geek I'll use your theme script my self ;)

Thanks xD
Well originally that was a Deviantdark idea, I've just upgraded his will =P
However, you can just let user select the color, saving you lots of icons =P
