Hey!

I know you! You're mariano gaudix on google plus, am I right? I'm Alessandro Roncone, the awoken developer and the guy who commented to your last g+ post. Your work is great! As soon as you'll release also a dark version, I'll be the first to try it! :)

Although this colorful version is also great, the grayish color has an unmatched originality that must be kept really high.
Cheers!

Thanks! I too love more the grayish version rather than the colored one. I just thought that probably a color refresh would have been well received by the users! Anyhow, I promise not to forget the monochrome version at all :)

Shame for me, your great work doesn't works for me, I select color apps, but absolutely nothing happens...It's sad, it seemed beautiful.

Do you plan to release new versions of your theme? Maybe a new version of the script to colorize the theme?

What's the best way to upgrade on a manual install? Can I just replace the icons folder and the binary or do I need to replace everything and start from scratch?

Also the link at Deviant Art provides me with version 2.3, or at least the file name would lead me to believe, which is what I already have installed. Where can I find version 2.4?

If you need packages for opensuse >= 11.4 you can find them here:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_X.y. where X is the major and y is the minor release.

just add it to your repo like this:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_12.1/ l1ard

and do
zypper ref && zypper in AwOken

as root user.

Sorry but I didn't understand: you created packages for opensuse? If so, what an opensuse user (assuming he is a super noob who doesn't know anything) would have to do to get AwOken installed on his machine?

I allready wrote this ;)
open a terminal and add the repo with zypper.

(1) zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/l1zard/openSUSE_12.1/ l1ard

(2) zypper ref

(3) zypper in AwOken

would do this for the latest stable relase 12.1.

You also could use "1 Click Install" here --> http://software.opensuse.org/package/AwOken

Oh nice!

So can I add this to the AwOken description? I think that this could be very useful for some users! :)

A question though: does the customization script work properly when using your package?

I'm using your icons and your fantastic gtk theme ANewStart.
But i'm using Nightingale music player and I haven´t got a icon for it.
It would be great if you make an icon for this player.
Thanks!!

Your icons are wonderful, they make me feel good! Congrats :)
I'd have just a question: since on Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity interface I use the awoken dark icons, is there a way to change the icons color from black to grey (just like they appear using the awoken default icons) on unity dash? Thank you so much!

Report

alecive

I'm sorry but this can't be done from an iconset itself. you should hardcode the icontheme (and if you want I can tell you how), but it's difficult to achieve anyway!

The best thing you can do is to decrease dash transparency so the icons should be more contrasted than the background :)

SUCCESS! Zenity was found.
It seems that the set is not in a expected location (or there's a bug in the script). If you think there's a bug, please send me a mail or a message in whatever way you prefer.
I'll stop here.

Zenity opens a window where I can click "Ok" and then it stops. The set theme is located in ~/.icons. System is an Arch x86_64
