Description:

Here is Darker Ice Murrina, a fast, dark theme to satisfy your cravings for dark gray. This theme requires the murrine engine to run, so please google that if you don't know what that is. And before you comment, yes this is an unholy combination of pixmap and murrina. Enjoy. I've included sample Emerald and Metacity themes that are not complete. This theme looks good with almost any window manager theme you can throw at it.

I am new to linux and i cant figure out for the life of me how to get this theme active. can anyone help?

If you are using Ubuntu, you can go to System > Preferences > Appearance, and then click Install..., after which you select the theme you downloaded.

Hello. I downloaded the theme but i cannot activate the bottom 3D quick launch menu as it appear on the screenshot.
Would you please guide me on this, if its feasible?

That's probably not part of the theme. The "3D icons menu" is usually called a dock. There are a number of dock applications; popular ones include Avant Window Navigator (AWN) and Docky.

this is pixmap theme no?

i do not see in gtkrc any murrine engine related

i would like to do also a black theme but it's not so easy

No, it is very much a murrine theme. It only uses pixmap to draw the menubar.

In that case are you sure you uploaded the correct package? This is definitely using pixmaps, not Murrine engine.

I also get the white stripe between window titlebar and menubar, visible in DarkerIce's screenshots but not in this version's..
