Description:

Glossy-Glass is a icon theme inspired by glass itself. I have got the exact look that I wanted for this icon set, each icon has been payed special attention to it's look.

If I was not happy with a icon then it was redesigned until I was perfectly happy, and this will containue. All going well I will release this icon set on Monday.

- Added extras directory for some alternative folder colours and some cool misc icons.
- Added emblems
- Added gtk icons

Version 0.5.1
- Added 4 openoffice icons
- Added openoffice mimetype
- Added clearlooks folder colours pack
- Made nowrite emblem without glossy back, which is more suitable and smaller.
- Made new symbolic link emblem without glossy back.
-updated new screenshot with openoffice icon.

Put clearlooks folder colours on gnome-look server.

Added link for faster download, thanks to gebil21

The Link is dead. Should of provided this as a secondary link instead of solely depending on one place.

I think that something wrong happen with the tarball, once the theme is installed I saw only a few "glass" icons, the rest are the "human" theme.
I hope for your answer, so long.

First of all congratulations, you created an amazing theme. In fact, I only registered to be able to be able to thank you.

However, I have to say I can't get the folders icon to work. It is a pity...

Any suggenstions on how to fix that?

My folders' and devices' icons are not applied, even though folders 128x128/filesystems and 128x128/devices exist and are referenced in index.theme.

What should I do? :-(

Sorry people, I'm the designer of these icons, since then I've had a clean out of all my stuff and dumped the PSD's with them so can't continue.

Thanks for the comments and downloads. I'm doing some artwork for GNOME now.

Great Theme and maniacal attention to details!!
Icons are a little bit outdated and some importants are missing (firefox) but still a great job!
I can't install the clear-look color theme: someone can help? ;)

What I did was extract the archive into ~/.icons/Glossy-Glass

Then you should be able to select it by running "gnome-theme-manager" ->Customize->Icons.

Note I also found some mime types are missing, so I created these links (in mimetypes dir) which helped.

ln -s gnome-mime-audio.png audio-x-generic.png
ln -s gnome-mime-video.png video-x-generic.png
ln -s gnome-mime-text-plain.png text-x-generic.png

ln -s gnome-dev-removable-usb.png gnome-dev-media-cf.png
ln -s gnome-dev-removable-usb.png media-flash.png
ln -s gnome-dev-removable-usb.png gnome-dev-media-sdmmc.png
