I compiled the tar.gz and was trying to use checkinstall to make it a seperate .deb package but couldn't figure out how..
Could you write or link me to a howto?

1) donwload source
2) change to uncompressed dir
3) ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-animation
4) make
5) sudo checkinstall
Input description and that's it.
