read how to cast the effect only for the eclipse application and not for other applications too:
http://techtavern.wordpress.com/2008/09/24/smaller-font-sizes-for-eclipse-on-linux/

Here is a brief HowTo

save the following lines in "~/.gtkrc-eclipse"
Quote:gtk-icon-sizes="panel-menu=16,16 : gtk-menu=16,16 : gtk-button=16,16 :
gtk-small-toolbar=16,16 : gtk-large-toolbar=16,16 : gtk-dialog=32,32 : gtk-dnd=32,32"

style "compact" {
font_name="Sans 8"
GtkButton::default_border={0,0,0,0}
GtkButton::default_outside_border={0,0,0,0}
GtkButtonBox::child_min_width=0
GtkButtonBox::child_min_heigth=0
GtkButtonBox::child_internal_pad_x=0
GtkButtonBox::child_internal_pad_y=0
GtkMenu::vertical-padding=3
GtkMenuBar::internal_padding=3
GtkMenuItem::horizontal_padding=4
GtkToolbar::internal-padding=0
GtkToolbar::space-size=0
GtkOptionMenu::indicator_size=0
GtkOptionMenu::indicator_spacing=0
GtkPaned::handle_size=4
GtkRange::trough_border=0
GtkRange::stepper_spacing=0
GtkScale::value_spacing=0
GtkScrolledWindow::scrollbar_spacing=0
GtkScrollbar::slider-width= 15
GtkExpander::expander_size=10
GtkExpander::expander_spacing=0
GtkTreeView::vertical-separator=0
GtkTreeView::horizontal-separator=0
GtkTreeView::expander-size=8
GtkTreeView::fixed-height-mode=TRUE
GtkWidget::focus_padding=0
xthickness=0
ythickness=0
}
class "GtkWidget" style "compact"

style "compact2" {
xthickness=1
ythickness=1
}

class "GtkButton" style "compact2"
class "GtkToolbar" style "compact2"
class "GtkPaned" style "compact2"

now you can call eclipse with:
Quote:env GTK2_RC_FILES=/home/<username>/.gtkrc-eclipse /opt/eclipse-gwt/eclipse

Hi, and thanks.

Why don't you keep this page updated?
I discovered in your personal site that this theme reached revision 1.5...

And also I would like to suggest you to use and suggest again Droid fonts. With your CC theme, they're a perfect pair.

regards

I own a EEE and have despised the screen size till now. Thanks to this theme, I feel I have a bit bigger screen.

Very good. I've always felt that Clearlooks looks a little too bloated. One minor issue, though - on most of the controls in the screenshot, it looks like there could be a few pixels added between the left edge of the element and the left edge of the text contained within.

try adding panel-menu=16,16 to the gtkrc file to make the gnome main menu also compact.

Is panel size really a problem? I left this out because I did not think anybody would need that smaller.

for me it really the menu looks out of place without it. i had been using the symphony compact gtk theme before this so i got used to it, to me it looks better.

I like it a lot, somehow it reminds me alot of windows (for better or worse i'm not sure) but it really "feels" right to me.

Well done, this is one of my favourites! Is it possible to make the right-aligned arrows in the Gnome-Apllikationmenu a bit smaller? They're lokking way too large.

Hi! Glad you like the theme. I don't know if this handler size can be changed, at least so far I have not found an option for it.
