Description:

Port/reimplementation of XFCE Prelude-4 theme (http://www.xfce-look.org/content/show.php/prelude-4?content=69300) to Metacity/Compiz. Originally written by Thomas Thurman and discussed at http://blogs.gnome.org/metacity/2008/12/29/a-simple-theme-prelude/ and then tweaked by Stuart Langridge and discussed at http://www.kryogenix.org/days/2009/01/01/my-window-theme.

Drag Prelude.tar.gz into the System>Preferences>Appearance window.

"Save metacity-theme-1.xml as $HOME/.themes/Prelude/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml."

Or . . . you can package the theme as a tarball with the required directory structure. Just a thought :)

You're quite right, and the dark version of Prelude is correctly in a tarball, I think. Thanks for the pointer!

not for someone who uses the keyboard to close windows and never, ever, ever maximises a window, which is me. If no-one else likes the theme, that's fine too.

... are perfect if you're on a pc with a 9" or 10" screen, like an for example Asus eee.
