Why don't we use beryl or compiz for commons applications such as OOo ? In this sample, the background of page is transparent, showing the desktop background with an elegant shadow.

this is a script to toggle on and off beryl I found it useful I thought someone else might find it useful as well. Either put it in your nautilus scripts folder or put it on your panel as an application launcher.
