I usually use Mac computers but I bought a hp mini netbook and I hate windows so I installed linux mint 8 and made it look like a Mac by using cairo dock, global menu, and the mac4lin project but with a little touch of mint buy making a green version of the mac wallpaper with the mint logo to it.

The tray is running: klipper, korganiser, kgpg, kmix, kwallet, knotes, kopete, and kmail (yes, it can dock to the panel now.)

I am using: - KDE 3.2 (CVS) - AquaX+ GTK themes - Mosfet liquid style - Mac Icons - Customised gaim and kmix dock icons - 'Near Aqua' colour scheme - Mac IE mozilla firebird theme - (my) xTunes XMMS skin - (my) OSX-Brushed mplayer skin - Lucida Grande & Apple Garamond fonts - jaguarx X11 ...

I'm using Kroller for the dock, osxbar2 for the top-bar (I substituted the default png with a 2048 x 34 screenshot I took from an actual Mac, then modified the .theme file so it would have the functionality I wanted), the background is the actual OS X Jaguar Background.

Not only can I run my KDE apps, but I can also keep the OSX dock and the native Aqua interface : ) Now if only the apps ran as fast as native. . .

This is my desktop: Archlinux + Kdemod KDE 4.0.2 Bespin Style Compiz Fusion Kxdocker The dock works fine on KDE4 too.

I know the swallowed wm dock is old school, but i still like them for all the concise info they provide.

I especially like it because I use no add ons (ie karamba, special dock or whatever...), just basic KDE features.

d=5OI6AG0H My desktop is also inspired by Vista since I'm a new linux convert, it's more familiar and I find a long taskbar more efficient with work and screen real estate than a taller OSX-like dock.

UPDATE: ShaneSemier pointed out that Propaganda is available at http://www.ibiblio.org/propaganda/index.shtml The dock apps (right click on the kicker "start bar" and choose Add>Extension>DockApp) are wmfire, wmix, wmmon, wmcube, etc.
