My deskbar applet looks awful. It's bigger than the other. How do i change this?

Right, does not look interesting. The perennial problem with the icons, I need to take care of that. Immediately I will deal with this issue.

Missing icon, deskbar-applet.png 24 fixed. There are no paths in the file index.theme.

Meanwhile, you can modify your index.theme

[Icon Theme]
...
Directories=24x24/apps,actions/16,...

[24x24/apps]
Size=24
Context=Applications
Type=fixed
...

But the easiest way is to copy the file deskbar-applet.png to right directory

Current version (2.2)
cp ~/.icons/Macbuntu-10.04-Icons/24x24/apps/deskbar-applet.png ~/.icons/Macbuntu-10.04-Icons/status/24/

SVN version (2.3)
cp ~/.icons/Macbuntu-Icons/24x24/apps/deskbar-applet.png ~/.icons/Macbuntu-Icons/status/24/

Now it fits perfectly, thank you so much. But i'm having another problem. I use battery-status applet (so i can show battery percentage on the panel, just like os x) and i use an specific background to my panel. This background needs the panel with 27 pixels to looks fine with the battery applet, but when i do this, nm-applet icon turns into something like faenza icon. Do you what's is this?

These applets are not bad, I'll try to join them in the new version, thanks.

I am in preparation for a new icons package, I'll try to fix any errors. We'll see what comes out, maybe next week.

Hi,
Just wanted to know if we have any Mac like Java look and feel for Ubuntu.
If you start Netbeans/JConsole in ubuntu it looks very ugly with the GTK look and feel with Macbuntu theme.
If you know any Maclike Java look and feel please let me know.

I'm not sure whether you can force to run a different java UI and if already, the application will be slower.

The program itself has to load the appropriate GUI, the best way is use the system UI

UIManager.setLookAndFeel(UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName());

So loaded classes will always be similar to the system UI.

I do not know any other method, but if I find out something that will give you to know.

Check it, Netbeans can start with a custom laf http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqCustomLaf

com.sun.java.swing.plaf.mac.MacLookAndFeel

Yes.
This is exactly what I want.
Actually the "com.sun.java.swing.plaf.mac.MacLookAndFeel" is for Mac platform only.
I use Nimbus look and feel but it's OK.
I want something close to "com.sun.java.swing.plaf.mac.MacLookAndFeel" for Ubuntu platform.

And if you use "GTK" look and feel with MacBuntu enabled, it's quite ugly. :(

Macbuntu 10.04 v2.2 installs on Ubuntu 10.04 x64 the incorrect version (x32) of compiz animations, compiz will not work properly. I have prepared the hotfix. If you have any problems, you get the correct files from the SVN repo or you can download it from here http://www.losoft.org/blog/download/macbuntu/compiz-mh.tar.gz

Sorry.

Soon will be available v2.3 Macbuntu, containing the hotfix.

Hi!

Congratulations for the Macubuntu theme, it's excelent! but i had a problem with the compiz customization, after reboot, compiz doesn't start again (in a virtualbox ubuntu 10.04 x64), deleting the compiz lines in the install.sh file works pretty good for me! at interface level of course. Could you export your compiz profile file please? I really wanna get the macos desktop effects in my desktop pc, completing the Macubuntu transformation in that way. I have other issues about Macubuntu, if you want i can send you the information.

Thanks a lot!

I'm sorry, by mistake i sent you a message with this information

My mistake, I have not prepared a suitable compiz animations for Ubuntu x64, this is what causes the error in compiz. After you install the correct version, everything should work correctly.

It will take me a moment to modify the animation files. I'll give you know when they might be ready.

If you have other issues, please send me all information about. I will be grateful and will try as soon as possible to fix any problems.

I have tested on the VB and on the pure instance of Ubuntu 10.04 x64 on a laptop, works for me. Here is the Compiz profile

from a working system, maybe something will change.

I have a couple of screenshots of the first issue, before and after. The other issue is that the press button looks just like the normal button, then lose the effect of pressure when click it. I do not know if MacOS works that way, but I have changed the image to see that the button is pressed.
