[ FAQ ]

question: the buttons for the window border being on the left,
is that a theme thing or can that be configured somewhere?

Answer: ( original tutorial by -fissy. )

using the "run program" action or a terminal, start gconf by typing:

gconf-editor

and hitting enter.

This program is a bit like the registry editor for windows.

In the tree on the left you need to go to /apps/metacity/general/

There is then a key in the right pane called "button_layout"

edit this key so that it reads:

CODE
close,minimize,maximize:menu

or
CODE
close,maximize,minimize:menu

enjoy!

Dear,

I have tried a lot of themes which are like Mac-OS for Linux, and this theme is the best one i have tried.

I just have one comment on it, the tabs is very fat, i hope that you make it more thin. thinner tabs makes the theme more elegant.

Waiting your reply on my comment.

You just indirectly did me such a large favor!!!

I downloaded and have been playing with gOS Space over the last couple days and the OS is set up just OSX with the minimize, maximize and close buttons on the left side. I personally don't care for it as I have used Windows for too many years.

I've spent hours doing google searches, searching the gOS site, the Ubuntu site (since gOS is built off of Ubuntu) and for the life of me I could not find out how to put those buttons on the right side like I prefer it.

You are King for the day for that info!!! I had to register and comment just because that little bit of info, although I wasn't even expecting to find it here, helped me out so much!!!

THANK YOU!!! ;-)

Ahem... When installing a theme, you MUST click on archive file, not on index.theme.

Hello !

This theme is really nice except one little detail for me : when you drag a file on the directory list (for example on nautilus, or when you want to drag a mail on another folder on evolution), you cannot see the selected folder.
Any other theme will square the folder name with a dashed box, and that's very usefull.
