Hello. I would really like to have an option for dark menus. I'm trying to tweak your theme, but I'm having a hard time applying the changes I'm making in the css-configuration-files. Reloading the theme only shows the gtk2 changes I've made. I have to logout and login every time which is very annoying. I'm sure there is a better way to do this. Any help, please?

Usually all I have to do is to close and open an application again to see the changes. This varies on distributions I've noticed. (Works fine in ArchLinux for me.) Otherwise restart gnome-shell. ALT+F2 and then type r to restart it instead of logging in and out.

If you're not using gnome-shell you can try to restart whatever you're using. ALT+F2 (or "Run" from any menu) and then type your-window-manager --replace

Thank you! Closing and reopening the application did the trick.

If you do get a dark menu version of the theme then I'd love to see it. I've tweaked an old version of the theme (when it had dark menus) to fix a couple of oddities in GTK2, but haven't looked at GTK3 yet. Overall, the theme is great, but I think the move to light menus on the dark theme was the one bad choice.

But it's back again in the latest update. :P

Really? Great! Now I just need to go to all the hassle of installing a suitably new version of Unico on openSUSE and Fedora :\

Amazing theme, but I'm a dark theme lover. Nearly the same think with a dark background would be amazing.

Very very good work: a perfect 10 in my setup; makes the desktop a lot more usable and easy to look at.

Hey, would you mind making a all dark version, like using #333333 or something for the background colors, I've tried my hand at theme making, but I'm not to good at it.

The theme works great except for the fact that there is another panel behind the gnome shell. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

It's a bug in Ubuntu. When Nautilus is set to handle the desktop it will display that menu. If you don't use desktop icons you can turn off that feature in gnome-tweak-tool. (There should be a button saying something like: "let the file manager handle the desktop.")

If you do use desktop icons you'll have to uninstall appmenu-gtk and appmenu-gtk3 to get rid of it. (This will also remove Unity's global menubar.)

Only one question: what's the name of the lower dock in the first two screenshots?
Thanks!

I like your theme. Unfortunately since the last update I got an issue with icons size in the panel :(

I'm running Arch 64 (Gnome 3.2)

How to fix that ?
Keep up the good work !

That's not an issue, it was intentional to get sharper icons, the smaller non-standard size made the icons look blurry. But if you want smaller icons there you can open gnome-shell.css and locate: .system-status-icon and change the icon-size to whatever you would like. (I think it was at 1.2em before.)

OK, but I still prefer the old look :) Thanks for the trick !

If gnome3/shell was a fraction as great as this theme, it would be pure perfection.

Long live Openbox.

Thank you for you great work. It's 10 times better then the default theme :)

Is it possible to reduce the heigh of buttons in Nautilus toolbar? Currently they're too tall and take a lot of valuable space.

The shell theme is not compatible with Gnome Global Menu extension. The git version has been fixed for Gnome 3.2 and works for example with MetalX shell theme. With Zukitwo-Shell, the shell always crashes when selecting an item in the global menu.

Do you know exactly which rows that was fixed in the CSS? I can't find any comments about it.

Maybe it has never been broken. Seems to me MetalX isn't perticularly designed for the extension.
