Description:

Like Jet Fighters and Punching.
This release is loaded will all kinds of whoopass. This is that next level that shows why elementary is different from the competition. More and better monochromes, more and better mimetypes, more and better apps. Not to mention this release marks the start of an effort to have every icon from 16px to 128px

As always, Donations much appreciated.

The new refresh icon looks nice, but could you include a smaller size icon too? Because now, when using Firefox 3, the "stop" and "reload" buttons are quite different in size when using "small icons"

what is it in particular that you don't like, I'm wondering?

Hey guy love the icons use them exclusively but, this recent version has the gnome foot for the menu icon and I persoanlly think that particular icon should be nuked and forgotten I hate the darn thing so much and your previous elementary theme used the ubuntu symbol. as well small and large icons
pleas tell me how to get rid of that crap gnome foot icon

ah, yea that was a total accident to have the ubuntu icon in there.

elementary is really not supposed to be distro specific.

but for your computer, you want to go to usr/share/icons/gnome and copy the logo for each size out of places.

: )

Just perfect! But it will be wonderful to have more colour schemes to choose from. May be orange or yellow or pale green? Blue folders look a bit cold IMHO.

It seems there is some demand for different colored folders...

I will push them out with the new release that is scheduled very soon.

You would add a icon to the 7z compressed files. :(

And you think in change the home and desktop icons? I just think that then are so simple. ;D

Anyway the theme is great and useful, thanks. o/

I'm not sure what you mean for me to do with the home and desktop icons. can you clarify?

I'll work on the 7zip one :)

Report

Don't worry.
I just think they are very simple, but they are main icons so more details to then are wellcome. :)
(And you are the best to know what to do with then, you are good in this.)

Thanks! o/

I love the icon theme, It's replaced the tango icons that I've been using for a while.

I only have one issue (and its pretty minor); The add icon is a plus sign, but the remove icon is not a minus sign, its just the same as the delete icon (which, to me, makes more sense when paired with the 'new' icon). This is a bit disconcerting when using pairs of add/remove buttons and trying to find the minus sign. The metaphor is a bit confused.

In previous releases I had a minus sign. however, the icon was small and inadequate. I switched it to this symbol because it was more powerful and really conveyed the idea that you don't want whatever is selected.

The package is very completely, and has nice icons.

I'm using it in XFCE, and is getting cool.

The (visible) description on the compressed files is the most and interesting difference.

Thanks a lot! o/

gnome-system-monitor on Ubuntu Hardy crashes, when you try to switch in the processes tab from "my processes" to "all processes" and won't start again (some glib:file-error).

Switching to a different icon-theme solves the problem.

its the same svg thats causing the evolution crash.

thanks, though!

1.6 should fix both crashes.

Report

not quite,

there is still one calendar png file under 256/mimetypes, which causes problems with the calendar view in evolution in Ubuntu Hardy (x-office-calendar.png). I replaced it with one of the svg files, you have provided. The icon is still a little bit larger than usual, but there are at least no functional issues with evolution.

Oh yes, I have almost forgotten,

thanks for the fast response providing a new version of your great icon theme.

It is my favourite one and best till now and I will try helping (at least with bug reports) to stay so.

I'll push that other fix out ASAP.

how is that for a quick fix? :)

Report

The calendar-svg files brake the calendar view in the evolution 2.22.1 in Ubuntu Hardy. Removing them, reverts to the default Tango icons and solves the issue.

sometimes, I forget that gnome doesn't handle blur too well...

I'll upload the bug fix soon

I love your icon theme dude and would use it full time if it weren't for one thing, I absolutely hate the shade of blue you used for the folder icons. I prefer a darker blue myself.

feel free to mod and branch, the svg's are all there.

I've tried so many different folder colors and this one is my favorite ;P
