Just what Gnome needs... except mono is the first thing I remove from a Fedora install :(

I wish I had my head together today! I put it down to lack of beer :) Better do a beer-run before I explode!

Anyway, another thing I wanted to mention is the spinning 'wait' (clock?) icon(s) spin anti-clockwise. That really doesn't need changing because a real left-handed clock (many people have never seen one) does in fact turn anti-clockwise, much easier to read for us lefties :)

Wayne - Jan 12 2008
Sorry, should have mentioned that I overcame this by simply renaming bottom_left_corner to bottom_right_corner (and right to left) and the same for top_left and top_right :)

Wayne - Jan 12 2008
Thanks for the left handed version. But, you also must have mirrored the corner pointers because now they're pointing in the wrong direction :-)

So, where's the connection to Gnome... or even Linux for that matter? Or do you just want to show the world that Linux users are a bunch of pervs? - Jul 13 2007

The theme is for the Gnome desktop not KDE. KDE themes are available from www.kde-look.org - Sep 21 2006
That should display copyright tags! Put something between the blank copyright tags! Seems it was stripped out of my previous message!

Wayne - Sep 18 2006
No, that doesn't work either but I found the fix :-) Open the xml file with your favourite editor and put something between the and tags. It seems it doesn't like to have empty fields!

This saves messing about editing the gtkrc file! Thanks!

What I would like to see is something like TheWidgetFactory but be actually able to bring up the colour palette so we could edit the theme colours. I find a lot of themes too white and bright for my eyes and prefer something with a hint of blue, like Murrine-Eternal_Blue. The only reason I don't use that theme is I don't like the grey menus or the white menu text otherwise it's fine, like all the Murrine themes. If only I knew what to edit in the gtkrc file to get the colour I want :-(

I've sent you an email to your gmail account as you have listed, I hope you don't mind :-)

Anyway, there are a few suggestions for you to use on your next manuscript wallpaper :-)

It would be better if it actually meant something. I can't find the first "character" in any of my Kanji dictionaries, at least not with the radical written the way it is. The second character is the Katakana "Chi" and the third is the Hiragana "Ko" A single Katakana (that is not a foreign word) following a Kanji character followed by a Hiragana character is weird! - Sep 14 2006

No Fedora RPM for this release? :-( - Sep 11 2006
Doesn't matter, I still can't download it. It seems to be a DNS problem with my ISP and they aren't in a hurry to fix it. I'd be grateful if there were another link to the FC5 RPM. Thanks - Aug 21 2006
That's probably because the icon set you're using has some icons missing in certain sizes. For example, I'm using HumanAzul2 icons and with this (and some other themes) some icons on the Nautilus icon bar would be forced to 48x48 (Computer and home folders) I scaled those icons down to 32x32 because they weren't there and put them in the correct place and now my icons are the right size. For example, there were no Computer and Home icons in ~/.icons/HumanAzul2/32x32/places and ~/.icons/HumanAzul2/32x32/devices - Aug 21 2006
Never mind, there's another PC in the house using another provider and it doesn't have the DNS problem this one does.

Wayne - Aug 01 2006
Is there anywhere else I can get the Fedora RPM? I keep getting 'server not found' on this machine and 2 others, one running that 'other' OS.

I quite like this theme but there is a problem for me and that is spacing on the Pan icon bar. I have set up Pan to be a certain size on the screen but whenever I select this icon theme Pan stretches over to the right making it wider and it looks odd to me :-)

Yours are not the only culprit, there are others too :-)

To test this, select for example, HumanAzul2 and size the Pan window so the 'X' (Cancel last task) icon is right at the edge then change the icon set to Neu and notice the difference.

Anyway, keep up the good work. - Sep 07 2006

Hello. I was not speaking about your work.
I was speaking in general. The important word was "if" :-)

Perhaps the other German speaker could tranlate this for me. Thanks.

Wayne - Sep 06 2006
If the original author gives permission and/or is given credit for his/her original work then there is no problem but just copying and changing a few colours and calling the work your own is bad.

Sorry, I speak Japanese but not German. - Sep 05 2006
Although it's not to my liking I will not vote it down. I never vote anything down because of personal taste, only if it's indecent, has nothing to do with Gnome/Gnu-Linux or is a blatant rip-off of someone else's work without giving credit. If the author likes his work then that's enough for me. On the other hand, if I do like it I will vote it up to show appreciation. - Sep 05 2006

I have taken the trashcan icons from the Ununtu Dapper beta and replaced the square ones. I really don't like the square trashcan they settled on. I also added a couple of missing icons from the 32x32 set.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll put the tarball up somewhere.
