I use it now for SuSE 10.2. Its a pain to do it, but shes beautiful. One comment, the progress bar doesnt match the boot time. It gets half way and then my login pops up. Cheers - Dec 30 2006

The graphic are showing up just fine, just no RSS feed coming through.. i think it's not loading the Python module

Could not find platform independent libraries
Could not find platform dependent libraries
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to [:]
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback

I ran the command

export PATH='path to python libs' and the error went. However I still got the import site problem, and no RSS feed. - Apr 02 2006

KXDocker with REAL Transparency

KXDocker by stefano 148 comments

Okay, this baby works great, but configuring it is like pulling teeth. The docker in Mac is so bloody easy to use, I think you need to think about usability. When people wish to add new icons to the docker they should be able to open up the CONFIGURATOR - and just add a new icon by just linking to the execuatble, similar to the of the ktaskbar. All this ho hum about groups and this and that confuses the hell out of newbies (we sell Linux to aloooottt of newbies) I KNOW!! you can drop in icon links from the desktop, but thats just tedious.

Also, whats with the following problems:
We still advise people to use 0.38 because 1.0 just doesnt work. It loads but nothing shows, and console output is just not helpful, debug doesnt work either.

Icons just disappear at random from the docker and then pop back up again, and whats with the blank spaces?

AND!! the great thing about the Mac docker is that it can be moved to the top, bottom, right or left of your screen, why cant we move it.

Well thats my rant. It funky eye candy, but we won't use it full time until its a little more solid.
