Awesome product. Great support. I have already had a conversation with developer on ways to make it even better. Can't beat that for a dollar!

Well the short answer is yes.

I have the same outlook about all my projects. I just think they should be available for those who want them. Like my site www.whatwouldjesusdownload.com for instance. I wanted there to be a nice Christian Internet portal that is designed for Christians, but does not try to "save" the visitors. That is why I get so upset when people say that I am shoving my beliefs down their throats. I mean none of my sites try to encourage non-believers to believe. That is not what my projects are about.

Thanks for your response.

I understand that I did not do anything outstanding artwork wise. However, to me the great thing about Open Source is the fact that I can take someone else's work and tailor it to my needs and redistribute it. I did give credit to the author of the wallpaper.

As for the question about removing the games from Ubuntu CE. I am sure that you have read that. There is a lot of Ubuntu CE basing going on. Most of it from people who have not taken the time to even check it out. Yes I did remove Gnome-Games, but only to allow room for other programs. I added an Administration Menu option that reinstalls all the removed programs automatically including all the Gnome Games. No I did not rename anything like daemon and such. That is one of the ridiculous things going around. Oh and yes Evolution is still included. :) - Aug 17 2006

Thanks.

I did not do them completely from scratch. I combined some various grahpics that I have collected. I did do some GIMP work and such. To me it is great when you do things from scratch, but I see nothing wrong with putting other's ideas and work into a new form. That is what I love about Open Source.

I think that it is interesting that the wallpaper that this theme is based on has a 67% rating. Since I did not make any major modifications to the graphics I suspect that the rating for this theme will continue to drop due to its Christian affiliation. That is just sad.

Please if you give it a "Bad" vote, then could you at least comment. That way I know why you don't like it. I think this could be quite telling.

This is completely inappropriate and only shows your intolerance. If you do not have a truly constructive comment then I ask that you move on.

Ubuntu CE adds GnomeSword Bible software and Dansguardian web content filtering. The idea behind Ubuntu CE is not to deviate from the Ubuntu community. It is instend to draw a larger Christian base to the already thriving Ubuntu Community. The project is not a gimmick. It has been discussed at length at the Ubuntu forums. Many have objected mainly due to the fact that it is a Christian project. However, it has many more supporters. Many of the supporters are not even Christian, but they truly understand Open Source Software and how this project has a great potential to introduce Linux to a very large and as of yet untapped resource.

Thank you very much.

I am always amazed at how some Linux users will go on and on about "freedom" and "choice" only to turn around and bash someones ideas because it doesn't fit into their idea of what Linux is.

Hi, I just add versions that are larger (98px X 30px). These are the original ones that I put together. If you want to increase their size even more just use GIMP.

Thanks for your comment. I really do appreciate when someone doesn't like something, but respects the choice of others to like it. I wish we could all realize that Linux has room for everyone.

Thank you for an honest response. I understand your position quite well. Many Linux users feel this way. Now let me say that I am not some brand new Linux user who is suffering from seperation anxiety from Windoze. In fact I am a committed Ubuntu Linux user and have been for several years now. The only Windoze that I have on my laptop is my Vmware Windoze. I agree that OSX, KDE, and Gnome all look great, and I will admit that Windoze XP is not that "pretty". I do however think that new users to Linux might stick with it longer if the transition was a little easier. I also must admit that I actually like some aspects of the Windoze XP theme such as the Start button. Anyway, I appreciate and respect your opinion. I love Linux and always will. I just want to see it on every computer before my son graduates for High School. He is 3 now. So let's get to work! haha

I have noticed that the rating is dropping fast. Is this due to a general dislike for all things Windoze or is it a dislike for the artwork? I would love to know.

Yeah, I am sorry that I got my underwear in a bunch. It just hit me wrong. Probably because I had just uploaded some of those 'horrid images". I should have taken it in the spirit that it was intended. A joke.

This is the type of hostility that I can't stand within the Linux community. I am not new to Linux. I have tried tons of distros and I have loved some and hated others. The thing that I like about Linux is the choice. I choose Ubuntu!
