It's actually fairly complicated to achieve one to one exact Macishness on Linux. Compiz just starts to fade stuff in and out, there's no real alternative to the Dock ot the Apple menu system. Windows is impossible, can only mock; in a bad way too.
I'm not one of those people that think Linux should look like Mac OS. But Apple seems to find more and more of the "nice spots" or "happy spots" in digital interface usability, design, interactivity. So why not borrow the base concepts? They may work well on our base too.
