Transparent v2 (Pidgin Screenlet theme)
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
I modified the original Transparent theme to use the original Pidgin icons, changed some settings and fixed some bugs.
I havent tested this on other computers, so please tell me if it works or not.
Install in ~/.screenlets/pidgin/themes
NB: You need the Pidgin Screenlet to use this theme.
UPDATE: Added a screenshot :)

I use nano and simply press Ctrl+O and look for "Pidgin not running", this will bring you to the part of the code where the message is coded, and change it to whatever you like. I changed both messages to "WAITING..." I think they look better.
Most of the time, I have to go to that directory and make the Pidgin screenlet binary files executable anyways, because they're not installed that way by default, so go to /usr/share/screenlets/Pidgin/ and run "chmod +x *.py"
I'm having my own issue though, my Pidgin Screenlet is not detecting that the latest Pidgin is running. Pidgin Screenlet is 0.3.3 and Pidgin is version 2.10.6. Any help would be appreciated.

1)download the file
2)extract the .tar to desktop (eg..)
3)copy the folder that you've extracted before
4)go to home/.screenlets/pidgin/themes
5)paste it in the "themes" folder
6)open screenlets from Applications>Accesories>Screenlets and run the pidgin screenlets
7)you found that there is a new theme, which is "Transparent 2" when you right click on the pidgin screenlets.
easy enough?
have fun!!
p/s: remember, you guys must have pidgin screenlets installed first before doing these steps.

When someone replies and the screenlet shows notification of it by changing the icon to a little "!", the name of the person disappears from the screenlet until I click on it to show the new message.
