GSDmetacity
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
This metacity is inspired in the default gnome-shell theme. When maximized, the window title bar blends with gnome-shell top bar, for a "consistent" look (obviously, this depends on each one's opinion).
To install, just download the .zip file, uncompress it and copy the contents to
/usr/share/themes/.
After that, the GSDmetacity theme should appear as an option on the gnome-tweak-tool (tab Theme->Window Theme).
For an easier installation, just copy and paste the following commands into the terminal:
wget www.deviantart.com/download/316301769/gsdmetacity_by_kant_o-d58bg09.zip
unzip gsdmetacity_by_kant_o-d58bg09.zip
sudo cp -r GSDmetacity/ /usr/share/themes/
rm gsdmetacity_by_kant_o-d58bg09.zip
rm -r GSDmetacity/
gnome-tweak-tool
Please note that I only tested the theme on Gnome 3.4, but it should work on Gnome2 also. The theme should then appear as an option for the windows on the appearances settings of Gnome2.
Hope you enjoy it.
