Description:

ON HOLD FOR SOME TIME

I'm not going to use this for my Arch USplash theme (I change everything again and have an almost finished theme), so i'll put this on hold for some time. I've only finished 1024x768 resolution, when i'm happy with it i'll finish other resolutions and release a compiled and source USplash theme.

XCF file is available in download so you can change what you don't like or even make your own bootsplash!

I'm trying to make a usplash theme i'm sorry but i don't use gensplash :( . If you want you can adapt it to gensplash, it souldn't be that dificult. I guess it can be used on all distributions because there's no branding in it just add your distro's logo to it ;)

Why don't you make it for fbsplash (also known as GenSplash)? IIRC it supports up to 24bit colors..

I'm currently in the process of building it but i'm not getting very happy with the way it is working right now. For instance it must use an indexed png with 255 colors so the gradient must go :( and some oter things but eventually i'll work it out. Maybe in 2 weeks it will be ready.

the bootsplash looks great, how long would it take to make a "real" one?

Thank you for your comment. Contour already created one for gentoo, you can find it here http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=51867 Please note that this is just a mockup, this is not a real (Yet) bootsplash, for the mean time it's nothing more than a static image.
