He had 62 confirmed victory in his list since 1943, and wasn't shooked down at all. For example, second russian ace, Aleksand Ivanovich Pokryshkin, has 59 since 1941.
The best german ace, I didn't remember his name, has more than 300 victories in his list, but was shaken down thrice. Most of his pranged aircrafts was Il-2 without back gun in the first half of western campaign.

The best WWII ace among Allied air force - Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub, shook down 2 mustangs, because their pilots (both american) take his La-7 for german one.
