Description:

My third GDM theme! Hope you like this one.

This theme is based on the Apple Iphone. I crammed all of the gdm-elements in the Iphone-layout. It is optimized for a two users-loginlist (using 96x96px usericon)
There is a Widescreen-background available. Just unpack the file and change the 'background.jpg' with the widescreen-background included.
It took me a long time to develop this one... Feel free to comment!

I really like the idea of having the login in a device such as a smartphone. I do think the iPhone is great but I was wondering if you have considered doing the same idea with different devices (ex. blackberry or treo). I would personally love to see this done with a treo 700p. Either way, I love your work, keep it up!

Hi,

First of all, your theme looks great ;)
Then it's iPhone, iMac, ... :D

And finally, when I switch users there are two buttons that go out of the iPhone :( I'll try to send you a picture ;)

Good Luck :)

Ninety.

This is a great theme. Apple did a great job with iphone. It's certainly one of the best looking phones to date. I would like that the theme use the icons and format on a black background however, and not in a the iphone itself. Please consider this if you work on it more :)

Most of the work on this theme has been made on a ImacG5 (osx). So yes I'm a bit biased in my choice of products...

I've tried not to use photoshop on this theme. But using Gimp is not as easy. Although 90% is Gimp, some things just could not be done without Photoshop. So using solely my Ubuntu_laptop was a goal I could not meet...

I do not want to start a discussion about Gimp and Photoshop here. Perhaps all I did with photoshop is possible with Gimp. Only with Gimp it sometimes takes to many steps to get to the same result and needs allot of thinking to get there. Also rendering is slow.

I think that Apple did a good job, but I think they are also evil, and I hope that the Neo+OpenMoko phone (with Linux on it) will blow the iPhone out of the water next month (although this seems less likely due to less advertising).

Very well done GDM though.

i wouldn't want that to be my gdm-theme, just because it features an apple roduct, but you did some good work.

Even us-linux-fanatics cannot deny that Apple did a fine job with this Iphone-concept. This is just a GDM-theme for those who agree. Nothing more nothing less...
