This icon theme for Gnome provides monochromatic icons for panels, toolbars and buttons and colourful squared icons for devices, applications, folder, files and Gnome menu items.
An installation script let you choose the logo of your favourite distribution and the appearance of the main menu icon (Gnome/distrib, monochrome/colour).
Several themes are included to fit with light or dark panels, menus and toolbars.
Please read the README file for useful tips and known issues
Installation
Download the tar.gz file and extract it. In the new folder created, run the ./INSTALL script to choose the distribution logo (Ubuntu, by default) and the Gnome menu icon. If run as root, the script will copy the iconsets to /usr/share/icons to made them available to all users. Some default icons used by Rhythmbox and Dockmanager may be also replaced.
Run ./UNINSTALL as root to restore defaults icons.
Launchpad PPA
Faenza icon theme is available to install via a PPA repository. Open a terminal and run :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tiheum/equinox
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme
There are no other nice KeePass icons that really stand out, (for me at least), so would you make a Faenza-styled one? Please?

once again, I want to say, that these Icons are really awsome and the othrr faienze-Icons too!!
But what I am really missing are these beautiful equinox-gtk-themes, which were packed together with these Icons in previous distros.
Could you port them over to gtk3 for us Users please?? They are the same awsome as all your icons. I am proud of you!! Your Icons should be taken over into the standard-repositories of Ubuntu, its Derivates, LinuxMint, OpenSuse and other Distros out there in the wild.
Greetings to my dear friend

Everything seems fine with Faenza-ambiance so far. Beautiful of course and most apps are covered.
Yet, the new change applied to the System Settings Dialog was not completely taken into consideration. Why?
Three heading icons are missing. I had to copy them from mono-dark-icons (categories/24/) folder in faenza icons folder:
~$ sudo cp ~/Desktop/svg/*.svg /usr/share/icons/Faenza/categories/24/
where the svg folder contains these icons:
applications-microblogging-panel.svg
preferences-desktop-peripherals-directory.svg
preferences-desktop-personal-directory.svg
preferences-system-directory.svg

I love your icon-theme really much and have it installed.
Now, I would have a wish for you: could you also make a white version of these nice folder-icons?? This would look lovely on my desktop at the moment.
So I would wish, there was also a white version of these lovely icon-theme.
Thanks for these Faenza-Icons and perhaps you consider my request.
Thanks from

thanks for the great icons :)
i had a problem with thunderbird's icon - it just used the original one. i noticed that the linked "thunderbird-icon.*" are actually named "thinderbird-icon.*". renaming them solves the issue.

There are a few icons that I thought could use some more of your magic touch...
The quality and style of the following icons do not seem to match conceptually with the other icons in this set...
- user-trash.png
- network-workgroup.png
- network-server.png
For user-trash, a square shaped bin/opening would be more suitable.
Also, the following icons lack the 3D/Perspective that you were going for, especially in sizes 24 and below. To give you an idea of what I mean, they looks like CRT computer monitors rather than slim disk drives. ;)
- drive-harddisk.png
- drive-harddisk-system.png
(Perhaps we need better shadows around the corners/edges?)
Would you please design something better for the above five icons?
Thanks!

Thanks for this icons pack.
I not understand the choice for the Geany icon, it doesn't looks like the official (a lamp with the yellow, red and white colors).
