Go to your home directory and Unhide your hidden files by clicking Ctrl+h then Extract the theme here: /.local/share/themes

I followed your method but it did not work!
I am using unity-tweak-tool.
When I navigated to theme, I did not see the "OS X Shadow"!

This theme is for Gnome-Shell 3.10 not unity
