I've been attracted to the new look of google.com and all the web apps in their arsenal. So I figured it should make a pretty good looking gnome-shell theme. Hope you like it!
I included the switches from 0rAX0's Nord theme because they're just so easy on the eyes and I couldn't find any "switches" on google's apps.
Installation:
Put the 'Google-Shell' folder inside ~/.themes and use a theme-selector extension to select it. OR, backup your /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme folder and replace everything inside it with this theme, press ALT+F2 and type 'r'
You also need 'Droid Sans' or 'Open Sans' fonts.
*NEW* I've included a darker overview theme for darker tastes. Just backup the original files and overwrite with the dark files!

Other than that I really love the theme, it's very clean and gives gnome shell a little something different. Thanks!

Download that and put it in the gnome-shell folder. Overwrite the other one of the same file name.
I haven't figured out how to repeat the background yet, otherwise this wouldn't happen.

Replace lines 1126 & 1127 with:
background-color: white;
in the gnome-shell.css file.

Are you saying that it shifts when you hover over it? I use Fedora 15 so unfortunately I can't test it under Ubuntu, but if it's a hover problem then it might be an inconsistency between the panel-button padding.
Are you using the Droid Sans font?

the "Activities" Text seem to start from extreme left edge without any marginal gap (which is seen on the extreme right where our username is seen) symmetric alignment seems to be disturbed. may be with 11.10 beta thats so...
after all the updates i did, apart from gnome-shell default and a few others that have been updated and re-posted, i find this shift.
may not be an error from your side but here at 11.10 it may be...
