Clearlooks-Phénix aims at creating a GTK3 port of Clearlooks, the default theme for Gnome 2. Style is also included for GTK2, Unity and for Metacity, Openbox and Xfwm4 window managers.
Requirements:
for Clearlooks-Phénix v1: packages gtk2-engines (if GTK2 applications are used) and gnome-themes-standard;
for Clearlooks-Phénix v2: packages gtk2-engines (if GTK2 applications are used), gnome-themes-standard and gtk3-engines-unico.
for Clearlooks-Phénix v3 and newer: packages gtk2-engines (if GTK2 applications are used).

Download the appropriate version according to your situation:
for GTK 3.0 and 3.2: Clearlooks-Phénix v1;
for GTK 3.4: Clearlooks-Phénix v2;
for GTK 3.6: Clearlooks-Phénix v3;
for GTK 3.8: Clearlooks-Phénix v4;
for GTK 3.10 and 3.12: Clearlooks-Phénix v5;
for GTK 3.14: Clearlooks-Phénix v6;
for GTK 3.20: Clearlooks-Phénix v7.
To find your GTK version:
You can check in your package manager the version of the package libgtk-3-0.
If you use Ubuntu, here's a correspondence between its versions and those of GTK (for a default installation of Ubuntu): Ubuntu 11.10: GTK 3.2; Ubuntu 12.04: GTK 3.4; Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04: GTK 3.6; Ubuntu 13.10: GTK 3.8; Ubuntu 14.04: GTK 3.10; Ubuntu 14.10: GTK 3.12; Ubuntu 15.04: GTK 3.14; Ubuntu 15.10: GTK 3.16; Ubuntu 16.04: GTK 3.18; Ubuntu 16.10: GTK 3.20.

Debian (testing) is getting GNOME 3.4. Are you planning an update? I ask this because there are some "oddities" (especially in the gnome-panel).

Anyway, this is a great work, and I will see if I can find the time to learn about theming in order to contribute.
The first thing I would then like to change is the font color of the desktop icons (from black to white) and the selection box (need to be transparent).

See the README file on the new Clearwaita archive. I added (very simple) instructions about that.

It's now fixed. You can download the new version of Clearwaita and the selection will be semi-transparent.

Oui, mon thème demande sûrement plus de travail. Je l'ai fait assez rapidement, après m'être rendu compte lors de ma migration vers Gnome 3 que Clearlooks n'était pas disponible. J'ai décidé de partager ce que j'avais fait au lieu de le garder pour moi dans mon «/usr/share/themes/» :-).
Merci pour le lien de #ubuntu-fr-themes, je ne connaissais pas ce salon. Pour l'instant, je n'ai vraiment le temps de retravailler sur le thème, mais si j'ai un peu de temps, ton lien va pouvoir servir.
