I'd like to see something like this that looks like CDE on Solaris. It looked sharper, crisper, and seemed pretty tight back in the day. And it had that nice purplish color to it.

Just change background in all .png
files with the GIMP and correct colors
in 'style "default"' in CDE/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.
It's simple. ;-)
