Description:

CL2-Dark (cgwd/compiz compatible)
=================================
By Adonikam Virgo, no rights reserved, no warranty.

This pack contains four themes:
CL2-Black - very black, needs some firefox tweaks (provided)
CL2-DarkGrey - a more reasonable "black" theme
CL2-MediumGrey - a good balanced dark theme
CL2-Grey - a lighter grey theme for those who find the others too dark

These themes require THREE theme engines. This is because some widgets cannot be themed nicely (think Ubuntulooks scrollbar) for dark themes, and I didn't want to use pixmaps. The theme engines required are:
Ubuntulooks (deb included for Debian users)
Clearlooks
Industrial

I welcome all questions and suggestions on how to improve these themes, but try to be as specific as possible. Particularly, if you know how to make Firefox use white arrows, I'd love to hear from you. And if you find any of these themes useful, leave a comment!
If you use a provided cgwd theme, DO remember to change this as well if you change the widget theme in Desktop > Preferences > Theme, otherwise it will not match the colour scheme.
I have tried hard to make the themes work with metacity/gwd/cgwd. You don't have to use the included Metacity theme, Indubstrial. It's just my favourite.

As always, thanks for looking, you aren't forced to use it. If it's rubbish, go make a better one - all I did was change the colours, which really isn't hard. These themes are heavily based on work by these guys, who I wish to thank:
"Human" gtk-2.0 theme:
- Richard Stellingwerff
- Daniel Borgmann
- Billy Cantrell
"Indubstrial" metacity theme:
- Tuomas Kuosmanen
- Jeff Waugh
"Vista-ish" cgwd theme:
- Cornelius
- QUASARFREAK
"Clearloox" cgwd theme:
- daveisadork
- saVTRonic
- Keeguon

Here's another from /usr/share/icons/gnome/16x16/stock/generic:

Most of you probably also want to do this:
su -c "ln -vfs $HOME/.themes/CL2-* /usr/share/themes"
or for Ubuntu:
sudo ln -vfs ~/.themes/CL2-* /usr/share/themes

This will make applications such as Synaptic Package Manager - which run as the root user - know where the themes are. The problem with any dark theme is that some parts of the desktop are hardwired for light themes, therefore I could suggest replacing a few images that come with gnome:

From /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps:

From /usr/share/icons/gnome/24x24/stock/media:

http://virgonet.org/adonikam/icons/stock_volume-min.png
http://virgonet.org/adonikam/icons/stock_volume-med.png
http://virgonet.org/adonikam/icons/stock_volume-max.png

Bear in mind that unless you use dpkg-divert as used in Readme.txt, these will be replaced upon upgrades. I recommend the excellent mouse theme "Neutral" for use with CL2-Dark:

OpenOffice.org doesn't obey it's High Contrast Accessibility option, so if anyone knows how to make it use sensible icons, tell me. I'm still working on it...
