Description:

This is a bright version of the New Human theme sprinkled with a little more Murrine. Changes are as follows:

+ Changed the Metacity file to suit light backgrounds so the window title is rendered differently

+ Made a few cosmetic tweaks to my taste

------

Requires the GTK Murrine engine installed, which can be pulled from the repos. Intrepid comes with this engine by default

But is too glassy, I suppose. If you reduce it, it definitely would be at least as good as current human. Well done!

Hi,

I really like your theme, but unfortunately my hardy seems not have the right engine installed. Does it require a special murrine-engine?
Thx in andvance! Rated gud!

Thank you. Yes, it does require Murrine which comes as default with Intrepid. In Intrepid there's a package called:

gtk2-engines-murrine

I suspect it's the same in Hardy, so apt-get install that and you should be ready to go.

I guess I installed that package during Hardy because I had a murrine engine before I upgraded. There is also a murrine-themes package which I recall was a bit limp. I instead used the themes in the Arch Linux equivalent.

I was running emerald before I glued this theme together but now... back to metacity!
