There is an e17 theme, Crude, that I've made to better match this. It should be on get-e and other sites soon.

Simply excellent!!!! Clean, easy to read and very easy on the eyes. Dark themes are extremely hard to make that are easy to read/work with during the day and also at night - and you have managed to do just this. Kudos to you :)

This is meant to go with the e17/ecomorph theme darkside, and is NOT meant for the regular gnome desktop with metacity/emerald/etc. I do not use Gnome as a desktop environment and so have not tested it there. I'm sure it looks bad without matching borders, etc, but again, I don't really care. If you want to make it match for gnome you can always edit it yourself :D

Boy it's a good thing it's on gnome-look then. Nice attitude of "I don't care" when a user points out a quibble with your work.

But I don't care. Gnome-look is the one of the most popular theme repositories, and if you hadn't noticed, GTK is used on about HALF of linux GUI apps. I could not post it here, and all the people who come here for gtk themes who don't use gnome wouldn't be able to get it. You should lose the attitude and accept that OSS projects aren't always narrowly focused on your workflow. It's also posted on themes.freshmeat which doesn't get nearly as many hits as gnome-look. I'm reaching my target audience, I'm sorry if you find it offensive that my audience isn't you.

Hey, I forgot about this.

Anyway, the funny thing is that I never installed this theme. I looked at the preview and noticed that you have the Slickness menubar with a non-slickness border, which looks bad. I commented, you assumed I was talking about something on GNOME and went on the offensive.

Nice job.

That does not work at all with Slickness's thing, my man. It needs the Metacity/Emerald border or it looks really out of place.
