You need a "mime associations" file, and SVG support in GTK2.
Minislack has done a great integration of Etiquette icons, see http://www.minislack.org/staticpages/index.php?page=20050321020704753
Best regards
Mario

I installed both Etiquette and XFCE-Etiquette in the same directory in /usr/share/icons/
When I select XFCE-etiquette in the Settings manager :
- xffm tells me theme has changed and I should restart it -> I do it
- Nothing is changed in either xffm and xfce-panel.
Note : Gnome is not installed and I don't want to, I just installed essential Gnome-libs to run Gnome apps like Gedit, File-roller, Gdm.
I would like to understand what I'm missing :)
Thanks

I am wondering if the author is planing to extend the theme, it's missing quite a few icons.
