Phalloidin Stain

This is a slide I made of a Drosophila larva that has been stained with fluorescent phalloidin, a mushroom-derived compound that selectively stains the protein actin. Actin is found in muscles. What you see is striated muscle tissue. The tiny dark bands are called sarcomeres.
