It is time to give a modern and professional look to our desktop! The new theme makes more clever use of orange (not over-use it) and is mainly color-neutral. It is designed for Ubuntu in mind but can be used in other distros that may bear warm colors.
Installation: (requires pixbuf theme engine)
Very simple. Just double click the file newwave-(xxx).gtp where (xxx) is the version number e.g. 050. Note that if you have previous version of the theme in your home folder you need to remove it first. You may need to log out then log in to make all changes appear (e.g. handlers, lines). For more information on how to fix Firefox's menubar text and how to use the theme in root programs see the README file.
Extras:
The package also contains:
- New Wave Configurator (GUI),
- Emerald themes,
- Compiz-fusion settings,
- Second theme with dark menus,
- Firefox skin,
- Some metacity tweaks.
- Time applet tips.
Theme for xfwm4 (Xubuntu) can be downloaded in the Download section of this page.

And from there rename the file 'MenuBar.png' to 'MenuBar-No.png'. Then reload the theme. If you want to bring it back just rename the file to 'MenuBar.png' again.

Everything works well except the maximize/minimize/close button. It looks like this.

I'm not going to say I'm disappointed with it, but I prefer your buttons to mine :D
Thanks a lot for your great theme

1. You might want to make the transition from the metacity titlebar to the menubar smooth. In this case you will have to copy the contents of the /gconf/gwd folder located in the theme pack in ~/.gconf/apps/. There is a readme file inside gconf too.
2. To get the appearance of the screenshots you will have to use Emerald window manager and install one of the themes in the Emerald folder.

As you see. When a windows is moving, there's a blank ( white ) line between the border and the menu-bar. Is there any way to solve this?
Thanks again :D

3. If you want to make your menu in Firefox readable you will have to copy the file userChrome.css in you profile's directory. For Firefox the path is ~/.mozilla/firefox/(xxxx).default/chrome/ where (xxxx) is some text different over installations.
Cheers
Anton

With the black background, the background text was ALL black. Only the icons were visible.
I went ahead and used my own panel background. Other than this minor glich the theme is very nice. Rated good.

"metacity-1" does not appear to be a valid theme.
050 installed perfectly, not sure what changed in the latest version
