Cupertino iCons Collection
for GNOME, KDE, elementaryOS and Deepin OS

Cupertino: macOS like concept icon theme
Cupertino-Catalina: macOS Mojave / macOS Catalina style icon theme
Cupertino-Mobile: iOS 13 style icon theme

Compatible with GNOME 3.32 (tested only on Fedora 30)
Compatible with GNOME 3.30 (Ubuntu 18.10, Fedora 29 etc), Deepin 15.9 and elementaryOS Juno

N.B: Fixed some missing icons on KDE. But the icon theme isn't look polished. Have to do some works. This is like an initial beta release for KDE. Tested only on KDE Neon.

Former macOS iCon theme
Based on Macbuntu theme

Recommended GTK+ and Shell themes

Siri, iTunes, Instapaper, iWork apps, QuickTime, The Unarchiver, Pixelmator, Grab, Transmission and the folder icons are taken from octaviotti on DeviantArt octaviotti's DeviantArt page

Some icons are copied from macOS 11 concept design by Álvaro Pabesio on Behance.

Status/panel icons are taken from La-Capitaine icon theme

HOW TO INSTALL

Download Cupertino.tar.xz, Cupertino-Catalina.tar.xz or Cupertino-Mobile.tar.xz file. Then extract it.
Go to home in your Files app. Press CTRL+H
Then create a new folder and name it as ".icons"
Copy the "Cupertino", "Cupertino-Catalina" or "Cupertino-Mobile" folder (extracted folder) and paste it inside the .icons folder.
Then you can change themes using a tweak tool.

If you don't have any tweak-tool, install gnome-tweak-tool on Ubuntu by using the terminal command below.

Open Terminal app.
copy this command below and paste it inside the terminal.


sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool

then press "Enter" button

i have a problem. all icons on ubuntu Mate are huge oversized. how to fix that ?.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 18.04. For example: My system volume icon is huge and really low pixel quality. How did you solve your problem or can anyone else help me?

so you claim in your changelog you updated the file amnager icons, but in the git change, that never seemed to happened:

No. I don’t make download archives from git master. Archives from git master are zip files and those are huge (size). So I compress them by myself to tar.xz (still huge. But smaller than zip files)

I have three separate GitHub repositories and I can put only one link for this icon theme.
That’s why I’ve linked all three GitHub repositories as external links in “Files” of this icon. But now I can’t see them in the files list of this icons theme.
Did you guys remove those external links?
It’s OK but I update all the things I’ve mentioned in the Changelog.

Hello, I have detected an error. In the Nautilus file system, directory icons are not seen properly for generic directories and for hidden directories (. "Dir_name"). This happens in the "Cupertino Mojave" icon pack, however, the "Cupertino" icon pack does not even show any directory, it goes blank. Send reference images through Google Photos.

Very good!!! But one thing; file "apps/128/gnome-control-center datetime.png" and file "apps/128/gnome-control-center sound.png" includes space. So gtk-update-icon-chache fails. After replace the space to hyphen-minus, it success.
