Just a question. What's the name of that wallpaper in your screenshot, and where did you got it?
Thanks.

Lightrays2
It comes with Fedora. Here's a RPM which includes this wallpaper.

I need a feedback on this:
Do you think it's HIG-ish to have one icon for all audio types, one for all video, and so on?
I tried that once and it wasn't bad at all. I mean, I don't care if it's mp3, or ogg or wav, it always starts in beep-media. Same for movies (mpg, avi, wma).
What's your opinion on this?

I think, it is possible to use one icon for all audio or video types of files. Extensions of files, as a rule, is visible in signatures of files.

IMO, it's better to have an 'audio' for all then for 1 or 2 types and the rest show the fallback gnome default, or fs-regular.

I'm not the creator of these icons. I just put them together.
And yes, I like d3a better. It's more slick, and more consistent.... and more complete.

By the way, it is possible to supplement your icons from a set of Gno-SX icons. They approach on style.

That's true. However, Gno-SX uses the same icons (exquisite) for it's base and adds up other icons to fill the gaps. Those other icons are very inconsistent with the exqus. style. I found many crystal icons there (which I personally dislike), and several Noia icons. I would rather add (and probably will) Snow-E icons to this set, instead ahything else. I also looked at the KDE exquisite theme, which also adds crystal icons.
I don't wanna do the same with the gnome version.
And, you can always get gib and edit the theme yourself :)

Another thing that I personally consider first is, does the artist of the icons want his/her icons mixed with other artist icons? I just received permission to port what I think will be a pretty complete icon theme so though it's not necessary to mix, and though I didn't ask, the artist specifically stated not to mix in his reply giving me permission. This I understand. When you start mixing....who created what? The user won't know. The wrong artist gets credit. I will port an incomplete theme, before I port a theme that is complete because of mixing, UNLESS the diff artist have joined in the effort already, of course. my 2 cents

... for C:\ on the Terminal command line icon. Would prefer bash$.

that drove me nuts in marcintesh. So I asked for permission to edit the icon and remove the C:\ and the artist said it was ok.

IMHO, for these icons the d3a theme is better, then mac-style ;)
