No problem - it's just a matter of scaling some svgs. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. I'll include it in the next update.

First, I love your icon theme! I needed to say that.

After, I have 2 little problems. I tried it on Gentoo and Ubuntu.

The common problem is about the emblems place, they're placed on the top right corner instead of the bottom left in the previous version of TangoGenerator.

After, on my gentoo, the gaim icons are not well installed apparently, maybe because i use su instead of sudo/gtksu ?

It's based on each icon with the non standard icon positions having a special file telling gnome about it. Tango-Generator extrapolates this icon from the theme with the highest priority that contains the data, and to get the icon placing you wish you will need Tango-Unabasehd quite high up the list.

Report

Seriously, I don't get it how to do it. I put Tango-Unabashed high up in the list, and it doesn't work.
Can you tell me the exact order of the packages to get the emblems in the bottom right of the icons?
Thanks.

I've just generated another theme and seem to get the same result as you. I'm investigating it now and will post an update if I make any progress. I need to do more regression testing...

Ok, I figured out the problem on the gentoo box, I had some issues with the permissions of the gaim folder and its content in /usr/share/pixmaps.

this is the output that locate images_industrial.zip gives :

/home/manolito/.tango-generator/archives/images_industrial.zip
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/config/images_industrial.zip
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/config/images_industrial.zip.bak

Any ideas ?

I'm on Ubuntu 6.10

It seems to be a problem with google resetting the connection - hopefully it's a temporary problem.

the images_industrial.zip package is broken....you can see that the dimension is 855KB and the original is 6.5 Mb...restore your /usr/lib/openoffice/share/config/images_industrial.zip.bak
and all will work again...

Looks like you have a corrupt file in /usr/share/applications. I'll look into it.

Does it work when set to Industrial? This would be recommended anyway since it prevent openoffice from using ugly high contrast icons with dark themes. I can't reproduce this error, but if you tell me your distro I may be able to help more. What does 'locate images_industrial.zip' give you?

Read the prerequisites - you need to install rsvg-convert. It should normally be in a package svg-bin or something similar. If you can't find it tell me what distro your using and I can help you further.

Okay, after finally getting the program to run without a hitch, everything is great! Except... well, you overlooked some commonly-overlooked icons. Don't fret, everyone does it, but at least you can be the first to break that trend =)
First is XFCE Session Manager - that's the logout menu in XFCE. The only three I know of are /actions/xfsm-logout (just make a symbolic link of system-log-out.png), /actions/xfsm-reboot (make a link of view-refresh) and /actions/xfsm-shutdown (make a link of system-shutdown). There may be more - can someone with Xubuntu list any others?
Next is the image resize icon. It's in a strange location: /16x16/stock/object/stock_position-size.png
Without this, right-clicking on an image in Nautilus will give you a big ugly placeholder in the menu... that should be about it. If you can cover those, you'll be my hero :)

What distro's nautilus has that resize image by the way?

Report

Fedora Core 6.
Also, you missed xfsm-reboot and xfsm-shutdown, and the "Add Files" and "Extract Files" icons in File Roller. Otherwise, getting better!

Well maybe I'm wrong, :) but I can't install the green or foxtrot folders even with them in the highest position (so highest priority, if I'm correct)

I tried with many configurations, withtout success...

It's hard to create the perfect set :P
