Description:

What do you think about it ? I saw some ideas about menu bar , and i think that will be original .

… but this behaviour would make moving windows via clicking and holding titlebar impossible (if I recognized correctly and the menu appears by hovering the titlebar).

This could spare some space in windows and would be a good choice as optional setting. (If you can bear the problem mentioned above.)

Note that it will be some extra space on the right of the menu , and moving will be possible .

we could use the middle button for moving. I think this should be how gnome works, maybe without the enimation (menus always stay) but this is how it should work. maybe comunicate gtk with metacity through dbus and make it transparent for the app (if there's no conection with metacity then the normal menu is shown)

I don't know about you, but I move windows around a lot more than I use any menus. I don't think moving should be made harder because it will make menus look "1337".
Also consider that it is rather common to not use metacity.

I just realized you considered nto using metacity.

Though I think this is a horrible use for DBUS, especially considering the current problems with restarting the bus during an active session. What do you do if dbus crashes and you can no longer access your menus?

It would be hard to use as you would have to move cursor to window decoration just to see if something you are looking for is there.

As far as I'm concerned that's exactly what gnome should have as an option.
Honestly, I don' like this Mac-style menu at the top of the screen, as I prefer anoher panel there, but the menu beneath the titlebar in every window eats plenty of space, especially when used in relatively small resolutions.
The menu isn't used as much as the windos itself, so hiding it is a very good idea.
Unfortunately gnome lacks this feature:(
Your mockup is exactly what I'd like to see in gnome 3-something. Of course not as the default behaviour, but just an option.
The only technical problem is to embed a Gtk+ menu into the metacity window decoration. Not only would it require adding plenty od code to metacity, but also would force a bit of hacking of Gtk+

Maybe do not make this in pure gtk , but create a "menu-script" , which will be used by metacity and , when a menu option will be clicked , application will receive a signal .

Things like that would be really cool killing-features :)
