Description:

Two versions of the Azenis Xsplash screens. One with the Ubuntu Logo, the other without. To install unpack the archive and then open the directory containing the theme you wish to use.

Use the command sudo nautilus /usr/share/images/xsplash.

Copy all the files from the theme directory to the xsplash directory (Hint: use middle mouse button) then restart to see your new xsplash startup.

xsplash files are remarkably easy to make. All you have to do is make the graphics set. Not sure how to make a throbber yet but the swarm hover is really good for now. Anyway if you look in the archive files you will see all the files you need and what sizes. Even though you dont see any logos in my xsplash I still have the graphics files for them. My logo are just 100% transparent

ya, i looked in the archive and it seemed a lot like usplashes. (i used the one usplash maker, all u had to do was make the images and run the makefile to get the .so file.)
looks like the only was to use xsplashes so far is to manually replace the images.

There is a program called epedermis that handles xsplash themes but currently it is experimental. However, it does show a lot of promise and could potentially improve how Gnome handles themes and appearance settings. It can be found here https://launchpad.net/epidermis/+download

Wow these look amazing i particularly like the the Ubuntu version one. Its blended together very well. I definitely think ill be getting some use out of these =)
