Description:

Fix to use window controls of the Ubuntu 10.04 new themes on the right-hand side.

1 - Put the files inside each folder on /usr/share/themes/Radiance/metacity-1 or /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/metacity-1 (will need super user permission)
2 - Replace the files. (make a backup first)
3 - Reload theme

PS: To put window controls on right side do:

"press Alt + F2, enter "gconf-editor", navigate to /apps/metacity/general/button_layout and set the key value to "menu:minimize, maximize, close" (without the quotes)."

tip from our friend johnnyg

PS2: System Updates can replace the files back to the left side version.

If you don't like the controls in the new left side position for Radiance and Ambiance, you can download slightly modified versions of those themes entitled Radiance_R and Ambiance_R. I have modified these thems and posted them on Gnome-Look.org for people who would like to use them.

Here are the links to the themes.

Ambiance_R (Ambiance Right Side)

Radiance_R (Radiance Right Side)

I hope you find these beneficial and enjoy them.

that the maximize-button is before the minimize-button is not so much disturbing for me. So this thing in gconf-editor is just sufficient for me.

But I have nicer themes installed. i don't like ambience und Radience so much.

I have these themes here installed:

hi Dear,

it is just enough, to do the thing with gconfig-editor and put the buttons to theright hand side.
The part of the instructions before is not necessary.

Yeah, like hotice said, if you just change the buttons order the graphics will become screwed up..

Thats why you need to replace those files..

Not really because the default theme comes with the maximize button before the minimize button (while all the other themes have the minimize before maximize), therefor is very annoying. This theme fixes that because there's a border around the maximize button in the default theme ;)

I think it should be ":minimize, maximize, close", right?
