This is the message for gfxboot of suse modificated for a friends page (of css gamers).
I've tested under Ubuntu Dapper Drake and Suse =)

could you help me installing it?

on my openSUSE 10.2 i'm doing this:

sudo mv /home/anubis/38092-message.css /boot/message

simply replacing old message fiel.. but when i reboot grub say:

INVALID FILE FORMAT

GRUB

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
