Entering/Leaving Directory is no error-message, it only informs you what make install is working at right now.
A common error though while installing is not beeing root. You don't have to be root during ./configure and make, but when the install-script needs to copy files into directories only root can write to, you have to be root.

How are you generating the dropshadow shown on the Panel at the the top of your screenshot? Are you using an image or some other hack (like one the dropshadow patches). If you are using an image, could you post the image?

It only works at 102x768 screen resolution.

Which Icon set does the little menu star shown in the far left corner of your screenshot originate from?
I've searched the aqua icon sets that are posted here and have yet to come across that little star. It's just perfect for a menu. Would you mind posting it some place for downloading if it is no longer included in an icon set here.
What menu is shown upper right corner of your screen shot by the clock?
What font are you using for your date and time?

On the corner after the clock I have the Desktop Access KDE button, and the arrow is the right panel-hiding button, it's not a menu :)
The font I'm using for the clock/date applet is Luxi Sans, bolded for the time, and it comes with most Linux distributions (I'm running Mandrake).
Hope it helps :)

I'm using Liquid with some small changes, I've just commented out the code that draws the 3d shadows for the panels, so the top panel looks flat.
