(If you have KDE 3.3 or greater, please use the SVG version of my iconset:
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=17158)

Yes, they are grey.

It has been a while, but I finally motivated myself to work on the set again.
I now feel happy to call this set "Version 1.0".

With 1776 pieces of SVG goodness, I believe that my iconset is the most comprehensive of any in KDE - tell me if it is also the best :)
As KDE 3.3 has now been released (with improved SVG support), I have released the SVG version of this set in parallel.

The response to this iconset has been amazing, especially the few emails I have received - thanks everyone!

(Created as SVG in Inkscape).

----
I also strongly recommend my Flat extras pack: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=12592
This package contains loads of extras that cannot be easily installed - Flat splash screens for apps, colour schemes, misc images, etc. - for a consistent Flat desktop.

Last changelog:

0.96c - Now at 1680 icons.
In this release, I have continued the cleanup of many of my icons, and added over 100 new ones. Many of these new icons are for SuSE.

0.9.6b - Now at 1561 icons.
Though I have still added a few requests - and I still have some more to do - the main aim for this release was the cleanup of many of the icons - I think that there is a noticeable difference in the quality of this version compared to previous ones.

0.9.6 - I have decided to release again, as the changes have built up: added all of the requests for icons, tweaked many icons to make them look better, changed the juk and noatun buttons - now much better. And of course, 48 new icons.

0.9.5 - Now at 1486 icons.
Again, not too many new icons (80 new ones, many application-specific), but I guess it is time to update anyway :)
In this release, I have tried to satisfy requests - added icons for gaim, gkrellm, amarok, also a few new folder types - but I cannot think of anymore on my own :)

Mozilla Firebird..

You don't have it. You probably think you have included it but you didn't because I can't find it anywhere in Applications.

Thanks.. maybe include a screenshot of what the icon looks like.

The-q is right - there is a mozilla-firefox, not a firebird icon. This is because, obviously, the name and logo have changed since firebird is no longer used anymore! :)

I use Flat 0.9.6 and have a Firefox icon.
its name is mozilla-firefox

Here's a few more -

When you edit icons, there are five categories, they are applications, actions, filesystem, devices, and mimetype.

In filesystem please make the icons -
1 - desktop2
2 - favorite
3 - folder_penguin
4 - shredder
5 - shell script

Sure, I will try and add all of these (both comments) for the next release.
When you talk about the filesystem requests, do you mean folders?

I hope I'm not asking too much here.. but here's more for you! Please make the following -

1 - AbiWord (Word Processor)
2 - Aumix (Audio Mixer)
3 - Nmap
4 - Gqview
5 - Sylpheed
6 - gFTP
7 - Nano
8 - QT Assistant
9 - QT Linguist
10 - MORE FOLDER! >:]

And amazingly, this is the only icon set (as far as I know of) that contains the GKRELLM icon! W00T!

I love your set! I like to change the look of my desktop quite frequently, and then it is great to have very different looks to choose between. And this set (the whole style you are creating, btw I love all your stuff) is definitely different from what else is out there, and it is so consistent and simple and clean. I just love it.

As for requests: Can you do bookcase and krecipes? (Both are programs I found on kde-apps.com, and they both have coloured icons, it doesn't match this nice, simple set at all).

Thanks a lot for the comments - I really appreciate it :)

Are bookcase and krecipes the exact names of the apps (ie. if you typed these names into "run command", the program would start)?

Report

turid

Yes, bookcase and krecipes are the run commands for the applications.

If it is helpful for you, you can find bookcase here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10030

And krecipes here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=9720

First I want to say I *love* this iconset. Second, I'd like to suggest a Kopete emoticon set to match (and one for Gaim too). Other than that, I just need an icon for kmldonkey, synaptic, plucker-desktop, logjam, pan, kdbg, glade, kprof, kaffeine, kid3, tvtime, kvim, and gimp. That would make the set perfectly complete for me. :) Very nice work, I hope you'll continue to create wonderful things to go along with it. Thanks for all your work, oh, and I love the color scheme too, I'm using it with the Reinhardt style and the Ridge windeco, and it looks great.

"I just need an icon for kmldonkey, synaptic, plucker-desktop, logjam, pan, kdbg, glade, kprof, kaffeine, kid3, tvtime, kvim, and gimp"

Wow, is that all? :) Just kidding - I love requests!

I have already created an icon for kmldonkey and kaffeine, will be in next release. I already have synaptic and gimp in the set, but maybe I have not given them the correct name - gtk apps seem to be a bit difficult to do. I will try and do the others for the next release as well: but I could do them faster if I had the EXACT name of the icons, as kde recognises them. If you can give me this, great.

Thanks,
Danny.

All of them use those names for the icon except the following:
synaptic uses synaptic_48x48
gimp uses wilber-icon
glade uses glade-2

Sure, I have already added amarok and kaffeine for the next release, now I will also add this :)

I have slowed down the release of my icons because I am running out of icons to create - these requests allow me to release faster...

Thanks,
Danny.

And of course that you like my icons!

The system tray seems to be acting strange for many people - it always works for me though:
