Description:

JGD-Spring Awakening is a collection of themes for the Linux desktop. Featuring a fresh and friendly design, each theme's main color scheme is a pastel yellow and bright green.

Included in this theme package are Openbox, GTK+2 and GTK+3 (versions 3.10 and 3.20+) themes. More screenshots are available at this theme's homepage.

Now updated for GTK+ 3.20!

Download and installation instructions are on this theme's GitHub page: https://github.com/jgpws/jgd-spring-awakening.

For screenshots of the GTK+2 version: https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1015172/

The wallpaper used in the background is Banana Leaf Purple Flowers. There are two versions, a standard non-logo and an Openbox version. To get them, click on my screen name and look for Banana Leaf Purple Flowers.

8 8 Nice colors, but I have issue with fonts. I have custom font DPI set to 128 to make text readable on large monitor. Using this theme seems to force fonts to be 96(?) DPI. This only seems to affect anything using GTK3, GTK2 stuff looks as expected. I am using Debian 10 with XFCE desktop btw. Also it would be nice if you included matching theme for XFWM. Thanks!

Hello bealsc. I don't know if this will help or not, but you can try commenting out the line "font-size: 14px" inside of the theme's gtk-widgets.css file. This was a hard coded font size that I may not use in a future update.

I will look into possibly making a theme for XFWM. Right now I'm researching it as a possible new window manager to test with.

Hi. That did the trick, thank you! Yeah it would be a good idea IMO to drop the hard coded font size. Also good to hear WM theme may be in the cards. Thanks again!

Downloaded this to try because I wanted something light that was, for a change, not grey or muted blue/green and would actually still work (no longer being able to use my fave Murrine GTK 2 themes is annoying)... and I really like it a lot! Just enough colour without being hard to read, and with this part of the world coming into winter, the spring colours are a pleasant contrast. Thank you so much for creating this!

Very nice use of colors, looks real nice on the flashback desktop. At first, I blew it and installed the older and of course noticed your theme had also fallen to Gnome3.20, but you regrouped and made this one look very very good. I am in the process of regrouping and hopefully, I will be uploading more soon. Least is awesome someone not focusing on white and moving more to other colors. As I said, with these graphics cards being so outstanding why should we make our desktops look cheap? Am very happy you saw past that and made this classy theme! Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you. In this one, I tried to match the GTK 2 version as closely as possible.
More themes and updates will be on the way in the future.

9 Great theming for GTK2/3 and Openbox, because it look so different to other themes. THX :)

Thank you for your comment. This theme roughly follows the design of the Murrine GTK2 engine default look.
