Yes Japanese city :-) Explain at last to the stupid user of Fedora where to look for update-initramfs I carry out and I receive an error there is no such file. It looks like / usr/libexec/plymouth/plymouth-update-initrd is an analogue of the update-initramfs command in my distribution ?? or...

Hey for works on Ubuntu 18.04 you musst change in all files the folder name from "/lib/plymouth/themes/ to usr/share/plymouth/themes"
and than the name from the folder of the themes musst have the same name as the file nsa.plymouth but without plymouth.
than is giving update-initramfs -u -k all no fails. and you can use it.

sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/share/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /usr/share/plymouth/themes/mytheme/mytheme.plymouth 100
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth
sudo update-initramfs -u

Not sure about that, it would be great if someone is able to check and tell! Maybe give it a try?

You know what, why not...I happen to have a VM of Parrot Security I use for creating tutorials on my site. I will get back to you on the results once I try it out.

The following works on Linux Mint. See if it helps

First copy the downloaded theme to /lib/plymouth/themes/mytheme; Then execute (replace mytheme with the name of the theme you are installing):

sudo update-alternatives --install /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /lib/plymouth/themes/mytheme/mytheme.plymouth 100
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth
sudo update-initramfs -u
