Vimix-winter-edition
GTK3 Themes
Score 67%
Description:

This is a theme that is derived of the (excellent) VIMIX-theme (by Vince
vinceliuice).

By using some clever semi-transparent backgrounds, nautilus and tweak-tool are looking different.
Changed settings to sooth the brownish setting. This theme works best with snowwy landscapes with trees and such...
Rounded the buttons, and made the theme the same across GTK3 and GTK2 applications.

In the download file: some landscapes

Keep the titlebuttons to the right.

This theme is gnome-only. From gnome 3.20+.

Just tried this but only the topbar is transparent. The left pain is just a blurry background on my screen. I can put it in front of another window and nothing shines through.

It should, though. the image used for the sidebar of nautilus is semi-transparent: the background is slightly visible. This theme is tested on gnome 3.20 and up. What is your set-up?

Wait, I'm confused, is the side pane in Nautilus generating blurs in realtime, or is this just a texture overlay to make a that static wallpaper transposed onto this screenshot?

unfortunately, no. this is a semi-transparent-image to mimic the blur. While CSS does provide a blur (translucent) filter for use on websites, GTK3 does not supports it. It should be there once GTK4 is active...

Hi! This is one, if not the best theme i've ever seen here! And i have a look on it, almost every day since many years!
Very very nice theme really, but i'm using cinnamon 3.2.7 , and it doesn't work! Is there a chance to make it compatible with this DE? Thks in advance !Congratulations!

Thanx for the feedback. Unfortunately this theme is gnome-destop only, because tweaking is done mostly on nautilus (the file-manager) and tweak-tool. These are not available on Cinnamon (it uses Nemo). If you happen to look for my other themes, they are also for gnome-desktop only.

Anyway! i just play with your theme with ubuntu-gnome in virtualbox, and it was a great pleasure! Many thanks again!
