Description:

ABOUT
=======
This is a fork of the popular icon theme Faenza with up to date app icons. It will stay optically close to the original Faenza icons, which haven't been updated for some years. The new app icons are ported from the Obsidian icon theme (https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1169579).
The theme was named after a dutch city, which is known for its history, its beauty, and which has many similarities with the city of Faenza in Italy.

GOALS
=====
* provide up to date Faenza-styled app-icons
* provide multiple Faenza-styled folder colors
* stay as close as possible to the original Faenza icon pack

USAGE
=======
The project is hosted on Github. You can download it, fork it, build packages for your distribution... do whatever you like.

UPDATES
=========
I'll try to update this project constantly on Github. Once a month I'll post a release (zip / tar-file) to opendesktop.org bringing the latest changes.

SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
================================
Is there an icon you miss, a bug you have found, or do you have a better idea for an existing icon, just let me know in a comment. Suggestions for single icons are very welcome for further development! I cannot guarantee implementing every suggestion, but as long as they are fitting to the rest of the icon pack (and I do like them by myself ;-) ) there is no problem.
In case you want to report a bug, please also mention your desktop and distribution.

Enjoy! :-)

This is great when you're tired of all those flat icons. There's a small bug on Plasma though: text files on the desktop don't have any icon, although they're fine everywhere else. Tested on Manjaro stable and Kubuntu LTS.

9 Hi. Great work, thanks for keeping Faenza alive. I found a bug in Debian Buster XFCE. When using the application menu that shows up when right-click on desktop, there are some icons not the right size. On my system they are: quake, quake2, dosbox, supertuxkart. Strangely, the applications menu on the panel does not have this problem. All Delft variations (and Obsidian too) are affected. Lastly, here are a few requests if you find the time: regedit/wine-regedit, gzdoom, palemoon (web browser).

Beautiful icon set. Just wanted to let you know that the Delft-Dark folder is missing icons in its status folder for everything above 24px, causing bugs like a blurry volume OSD icon in environments like MATE. This can be worked around by copying the missing folders from the regular Delft folder over, but I wanted to let you know anyway.

Hi there. I'm running Linux Lite, with is XFCE, In the 'right click' menu in the folders window, the 'Open as Administrator', 'Make file executable', and 'Create backup copy' icons are missing. I have a screenshot if you need to see what it's showing. Thank you.

Hello,
the project is still active, yes, but I haven't had the time yet to look at the missing icons. Anyway, thank you for reporting this problem so far. I'll try to figure them out within the next weeks. It should be fixed with the next update.

Ok, I've taken a look at it. The necessary icons are available, but those three menu items in Thunar seem to be Linux Lite specific and are closely tied to the default Papirus icon theme. So it seems they cannot be changed by another icon theme. If you know any icon theme (except Papirus) which is able to change these three menu items, please let me know...

UPDATE: I have just created and uploaded a series of GTK themes to complement your work, based on three of the included GTK themes that come with Ubuntu MATE, at https://www.mate-look.org/p/1304720/

Thank you for all the hard work you do on this and the Obsidian icon themes. Right now, I'm in the middle of creating a series of GTK themes to color-match your icon themes, much like Shiki-Colors used to do with the GNOME-Colors icons , based on the default theme of Ubuntu Mate, which is what I'm using right now.

I really like this theme. When selecting new items in KDE5, instead of rating stars (or lack of), there are question marks in their place. Otherwise, great theme!

Since gnome 3.32 there are mssing icons for gnome-control-center, evince, gnome-screenshot and gnome-system-monitor. I use Archlinux. The Gnome developers, I think, have changed the Icon names in the *.desktop files. Do you need a list of this new names?

If you can figure them out this would be helpful, thanks!
I'll take a look at it. My Fedora is still on GNOME 3.30 ;-)

gnome-control-center > org.gnome.Settings
evince > org.gnome.Evince
gnome-system-monitor > org.gnome.SystemMonitor
gnome-screenshot > org.gnome.Screenshot
gnome-terminal > org.gnome.Terminal

That's all on my system. If I find more icons, I will tell it to you. =)

Brilliant! I love this theme and it's direction! Beautiful! If I could suggest something, it would be a Volume Up/Down icon for notifications. I use Xubuntu 17.10 and when using this theme the notification icons for changing volume up or down are missing.
