Since eonpatapon not gonna maintain anymore, and I fixed some bugs and added some features though, so I thought maybe should published it out.

Glad someone's taking it over, but I couldn't get it to install. Even with manually installing, it never showed up as a valid extension.

what's your system environment?ubuntu, debian, gnome version?

sudo apt-get install chrome-gnome-shell
should solved your issue

Nope, I've got a dozen other extensions installed and working fine, including the original Caffeine extension (which I uninstalled to test yours). chrome-gnome-shell is already installed

sorry, my mistake. didn't noticed opendesktop changed zip filename. you can remove "-20180917044212" from caffeine directory name, or just re-download the zip file.
