Description:

XMMS Weasel is a general plugin for XMMS. It automatically slides out XMMS from the screen if the mouse pointer leaves the XMMS window. As soon as the mouse pointer hits the screen edge, XMMS will slide back in.

When you right click to "Play File" or click on '+' or '-' for the play list, it hides again with the menu still appearing. Strange behavior. I would think that the focus would remain while in an active menu.

It works great. Using mandrake 9.2 currently. Quick request though. Is there a way to implement an attached playlist window or eq window in the disappearing/hiding? Or even left/bottom/right support?
Other than that it works great man. Nice job.
cheers,

Yes. This version of the weasel is just a first taste of what it will going to be in the future. All of your requested features are already on our to do list. Well, at least on our mind ;)

Oh, and I found that screenshot which shows playlist and eq hiding as well. You just have to put them at a separate location at the top and it works! Presto chango!

Woops, didn't follow the link to your site. Most of the time that link isn't really a project site. Keep up the good work.

Very nice, just to start xmms with 'kstart --window XMMS --skiptaskbar xmms' or similar makes it now almost totally disappear ;-)

Now what does this have to do with KDE? It's not KDEish art and it's not a KDE app.

kde-look.org - eyecandy for your kde-desktop. This is what I am reading on the upper left.

The skin on the screenshot is a Winamp skin. You can find it on:
http://art.softshape.com/s.php/17. The skin is available in other colors
as well.

tried the fedora binary

Loaded the plugin, restarted everything, and... it doesn't do anything.
What is wrong?

did you enable the plugin? did you move xmms to the top of your screen?

- Timo

Ah, now I see what's wrong; I didn't move xmms to the top of the screen (tought it had something to do with xmms' priority or something.) heh
