>>>>>>>>>> How to install themes for Plank Dock?? <<<<<<<<<<

>>>>>>>>>> If you don't have Plank Dock installed <<<<<<<<<<
>>> Install it with the command: "sudo apt install plank" <<<

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>>>>>>> Once installed, download and extract the files <<<<<<<

>>>>>>>> FOR ROOT DIRECTORY: Open the terminal and type:
"sudo apt nautilus" or whatever your file manager is.
Copy and paste the extracted files in the next path:
"/usr/share/plank/themes"

>>>>>>>> FOR LOCAL DIRECTORY: Press the ctrl + h keys.
Now the hidden files will be shown.
Copy and paste the extracted files in the next path:
".local/share/plank/themes"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>>>>>>>> Now, press the Plank Dock Icon or ctrl + right click
on any place in Plack Dock to show the preferences menu.
Got to "THEME" and choose any Dockjave theme.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>>>>>>>> I added the separators, to add them in Plank Dock,
just drag and drop the image inside the Dock as with any icon,
you don't need to create an .desktop file in the applications,
you only need to drag the .png image to the Dock and that's all,
It has worked very well for me

You will find two folders, one for horizontal mode, Dock bottom
and another for vertical mode, Dock on the left or right side.

Hello! You made a nice work! I have a question. How did you make lines in plank? And how did you add application menu in dock?

Hello, thanks.

For the Application Launcher I followed this thread in Stackoverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22152190/fedora-plank-app-launcher
But this hack is only for Gnome, I suppose there will be another way for other desktops.

For the color line in Plank Dock, you need to choose the width in: "LineWidth =" from 1 to 9 and change the color in: "OuterStrokeColor =" with RGBA color

Thank you! But I meant the lines as in Mac OS. Lines that share the trash and running applications.

It's not an error, you just need root access, and to open Nautilus with Roor user permissions just open the terminal and type: "sudo nautilus" then enter your password and you will have access to the / usr / share / plank / themes folder.

Another option is to place them in the "home" folder just press "ctrl + h" and the hidden icons will appear, copy the files in the folder ".local / share / plank / themes" and it's dome.

Hi, when you have multiple instances of chrome opened or some other app, you have to right click on that icon so you can choose which instance you want to open. Is it possible that you can make that happen on hovering? or there is already an option for that and i've missed it..?
thank & cheers!

overall great plank +

Sorry, but code doesn't allow it, I tried with "Compiz" on Mate Desktop some time ago, and that show a preview of the opened window; but I don't remember if it show all the instances. So, you can try it.

Hi, I suggest you change the logo and the title name because Apple is copyrights and patent troll and can sue us for everything. What about the name of Plank Mojave and Plank Mojave or Docksierra or Dockojave? What do you think about these names? As for the logo, I prepared the new logo for you. I gift you: https://i.imgur.com/jYDwMBE.png. Put the new title name in this logo, like Plank Mojave, or whatever you want to name.

Hello, gusreis1989.
Thanks you for your suggestion, you're very right; and thanks for taking your time to do the new logo, I choose the second one. I appreciate your support.

The Icons https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1102582/

For the menu I use the Gnome Global Menu https://gitlab.com/lestcape/Gnome-Global-AppMenu

thanks! and one last question, how did you get the appmenu to work? i've installed it and put it on the applet and logged in and logged out (as the help guide said to do) and it showed some error and so far now ive just decided to put the menu text as the toolbar text from my browser.

Well, I don't know what distro are you using, but in the installation guide of the extension, it say that you have to install appmenu-qt, appmenu-gtk-module, or unity-gtk-module if you're in Ubuntu; so I just follow the guide and work well for me in a Debian based distro.
